symposium on security and justice in Nigeria organized by the Office of the National Security Adviser in collaboration with the British High Commission

The Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mrs. Zubaida Umar, today participated in a significant symposium on security and justice in Nigeria. The event, organized by the Office of the National Security Adviser in collaboration with the British High Commission, brought together high-level officials including the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo; the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; the Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa; the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, His Excellency Mr. Richard Montgomery; and Justice Binta Murtala Nyako of the Federal High Court, who served as the Special Guest of Honour and delivered the keynote address.

The symposium covered various aspects of the subject matter, with notable attendees including representatives from the Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Naval Staff, Chief of Air Staff, and heads of other paramilitary services.

The DG NEMA, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, along with the Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Air Staff, Inspector General of Police, National Coordinator of the National Counter-Terrorism Centre, and the Commandant General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps were on the panel that discussed critical issues surrounding military operations, law enforcement, and the protection of civilians.
