The Search and Rescue Department of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has extended its public enlightenment efforts to the education sector with a training session for students of Lead British International School, Gwarinpa, Abuja.
The exercise, held at the school’s Hall of Fame, followed an invitation extended to the Agency to educate students on Basic First Aid, Disaster Management, and Safety in Public Areas.
Facilitated by NEMA officers in collaboration with the Nigerian Red Cross Society, the training featured practical demonstrations and interactive sessions designed to build the capacity of the students in handling emergencies within their immediate environment.
The program is part of NEMA’s continuous drive to promote a culture of safety and preparedness among young people, equipping them with lifesaving skills and knowledge to act appropriately during emergencies.
