In an effort to further provide succor to persons affected by 2022 flood disaster in Taraba State.
NEMA Yola Operations Office staff in collaboration with TSEMA officials FLAG-OFF direct distribution of relief materials donated by the Federal Government to victims of Flood disaster in Gassol Local Government area Taraba state.
The Director General of NEMA, Mustapha Habib Ahmed, represented by PSARO Mr. Yusuf Ibbi Atta on behalf of the Head of Operations Mr Ladan Ayuba during the exercise, he told the beneficiaries that the relief items is part of the Federal Government’s gesture in alleviating the impacts of the flood disasters on their livelihoods but not to compensate their losses.
The Executive Chairman of Gassol Hon Dan Asali MB Biru on behalf of the beneficiaries appreciated DG NEMA for approving the relief materials and further appeal to the federal government to support farmers with agricultural inputs to boost food security.
