The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has been recognized as the most outstanding Emergency Management agency at the annual Security and Emergency Management Award 2024.
The award was presented by the Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Idris Mohammed Malagi, during the ceremony organized by *Emergency Digest* in Abuja.
Represented by the Director General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), Mallam Jibrin Ndace, the Minister commended NEMA for its exemplary performance, particularly in managing this year’s devastating floods. Other notable awardees included Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, the DG of VON, the Nigerian Police, and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
