Officials of LTO today represented the Director General of the Agency, Alhaji Mustapha Habib Ahmed while presenting the Federal Government medical Consumables to the Chief Medical Director of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Prof Adetokunbo Fabanwo and Group Captain (Dr) Muzammil Muhammed,
Commander, 661 Nigeria Airforce Hospital all in Ikeja.
Medical consumables were donated to 5 selected secondary and tertiary medical institutions to augment their services on humanitarian service delivery that are daily being experienced in the State by the Director General .
Other facilities to benefit from the gesture are 68 Nigeria Army Reference Hospital, Yaba, Ifako Ijaye General Hospital and Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi Oro.
Group Captain Muhammad was so excited with the timely intervention.
He expressed gratitude saying that with the resurgence of many infectious diseases especially Lassa Fever, Ebola and others, the consumable will go a long way to stem the spread and help in prompt treatment of all cases.
The chief Medical Director of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital expressed the State Governor’s gratitude for the intervention and still ask for more.
He was full of gratitude saying that NEMA in-house medical doctor who must have selected the gifted consumables was meticulous and right in his selection.
He thanked the Director General for his service to humanity saying that this the first time that NEMA would reach out to medical facilities in the State.
He specially thanked and praised the Federal Government relief interventions in all capacities.
He then reiterated that NEMA intervention is indication of Federal Government commitment to the welfare of Nigerians as a whole.
