Last night, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) successfully repatriated 160 distressed Nigerian individuals from Libya. Among the returnees, there were 60 women and 95 men. Additionally, there were 1 female child, 3 male children, and 1 male child who were brought back with the group. The flight arrived at the Cargo Wing of Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Ikeja at approximately 2100 hours. The chartered Al Buraq Air Boeing 737-800, with registration number 5A-DMG, was used for the operation. Various agencies, including NEMA, the Refugee Commission, NAPTIP, FAAN, and the Federal Ministry of Labour, were present on the ground to assist with the repatriation.
