Director General NEMA Mustapha Habib Ahmed chaired a technical meeting of stakeholders on the Flood situation across the country at the Agency’s conference hall NEMA Headquarters Abuja.
In Attendance were Directors of NEMA and relevant stakeholders including Director General Nigerian Hydrological services Engineer Clement onyeaso Nze, Representatives of Ministry of Disaster management , Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development, Nigerian Red cross society, Nigerian Civil Defense corps, Federal Road safety corps , National Space Research Development Agency NASRDA and Nigerian Metrological Agency NIMET.
Issues relating to Early Warning, preparedness of state Governments through the state Emergency Management Agencies and Response by all stakeholders were discussed at the technical session
