NEMA Edo Operations Office in collaboration with Edo SEMA organized an Interactive Stakeholders’ Forum on 2023 Flood Preparedness, Mitigation and Response as predicted by NiMet on the Seasonal Climate Prediction (SCP) and the Annual Flood Outlook (AFO) by the Nigerian Hydrological Service Agency (NIHSA). All the 18 LGAs representatives attended the forum. They enumerated the peculiarites and challenges faced due to various types of disasters in there respective LGAs. Mitigative and response solutions were outlined for safe evacuation of distressed persons during any emergency in the state.
