NEMA in a joint assessment of 2024 flood disaster with stakeholders in Oyo State

A joint flood assessment being conducted by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Oyo State Emergency Management Agency (OYSEMA), the Nigerian Red Cross (NRC), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) across eight local government areas (LGAs) in Oyo State: Oluyole, Iseyin, Itẹsiwaju, Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Surulere, Kajola, and Iwajowa.

The assessment aims to evaluate the extent of the recent flooding and identify the needs of affected individuals. Findings from this assessment will guide targeted relief efforts to ensure that resources are effectively allocated to support impacted communities.
