NEMA hands over 507 metric tons of food items for vulnerable persons in Ebonyi state

Zonal Director NEMA South East Major James Eze, representing the DG of NEMA, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, handed over 507 metric tons of various grains, including 10,140 50kg bags of maize and 2,444 25kg bags of garri, to the Governor of Ebonyi State. This donation is intended for distribution among the state’s vulnerable citizens to alleviate current high cost of food items.

The NEMA delegation and a representative of the Ebonyi State Governor, Hon (Mrs.) Ann Aligwe, the Commissioner for Human Capital Development and Monitoring, inspected the warehouse in Abakaliki. During the commencement ceremony, Hon (Mrs.) Aligwe addressed the stakeholders, assuring that the state government would adhere strictly to the established guidelines for distributing the supplies.
