NEMA GIVES MORE SUPPORT TO KATSINA GUN ATTACK VICTIMS

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has provided more additional relief support to the recent victims of gun attack in some villages of faskari local government area, Katsina state.

The second batch of the relief items approved by federal government was officially presented by the NEMA Director General, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Sidi to the Katsina state government yesterday.
 
NEMA Zonal Coordinator, North West, Alhaji Musa Iallah who represented the agency’s Director General handed over the additional relief assistance to the Executive Director of Rehabilitation and Relief Emergency Agency (RERA), Katsina, Alhaji (Hon.) Suleiman Rawayau on behalf of the state government.
 
The items donated are: 100 bags each of Rice & Millet, 50 bags of Maize, 10 bags of Salt, 50 cartons each of Instant noodles & Bath soap, 30 cartons of washing detergents, 50 jerry cans each of vegetable & palm oil. Others are 500 pieces of wax prints, 100 pieces of shadda brocade, 500 pieces each of blankets, 300 pieces of nylon mats, 100 pieces of Mosquito nets, 200 pieces of mattresses, 500 pieces each of Plastic plates, cups & spoons.
 
It will be recalled that few weeks back, NEMA dispatched a rapid response aid to the victims who left their villages as a result of the attack to take solace at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp in neighboring communities.
