MULTI STAKEHOLDERS ENGAGEMENT ON FLOOD PREPAREDNESS AND RESPONSE IN ADAMAWA STATE.

NEMA Yola Operations office lead by the Head of Operations Mr Ladan Ayuba accompanied by officers of the agency participated at a One day consultative engagement, to discuss preparedness and response measures of Government, relevant Ministries, UN bodies, INGOs and NGOS working in the State.
Declaring the Workshop open, the Secretary to the Government of Adamawa State Alh Awwal Tukur expressed the commitment of the State government in averting the perennial floods in the State and call on stakeholders to engage meaningfully towards mitigating the menace of flooding in Adamawa.
The NEMA head of operations in his remarks,appreciated all stakeholders for attending the important meeting and expressed delight on preparedness and response plan put in place by relevant MDAs, UN bodies INGOs and NGOS working in the State.
The workshop was organised by the Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency ADSEMA in collaboration with NEMA Yola Operations office.
Chairmen of Local government areas, Permanent secretaries and heads of different humanitarian partners
attended the workshop.
