The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) South-West Zonal Office distributed relief materials to victims of a fire disaster at Odoogbe Market, Ile-Ife, Osun State, on November 20, 2024.
The South-West Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Olanrewaju Kadiri, extended the agency’s sympathy on behalf of the Director General, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, to those affected. He also provided fire safety awareness as the dry season approaches.
Osun SEMA General Manager, Mr. B. Falade, commended NEMA for its swift intervention, which will alleviate the victims’ hardships. Market leaders, Chief Odeyemi Olaoluwa (Babaloja) and Chief Mrs. Falilat Lawal (Iyaloja), expressed gratitude to NEMA for providing food, non-food, and building materials to the affected traders.
