On December 5, 2024, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) distributed relief materials to 598 households affected by floods and windstorms in Danbatta/Makoda Federal Constituency, Kano State. The beneficiaries were from 13 communities, including Maiganji, Tangaji, and Danbatta UBE.
Abdulhadi Tukur, the NEMA team lead, emphasized that the materials aimed to provide immediate support rather than compensate for losses. The event was attended by stakeholders such as constituency representatives, Kano SEMA officials, and security personnel.
Community representatives expressed gratitude to the Federal Government for the timely intervention, highlighting NEMA’s dedication to supporting disaster-hit communities.
