Director General of NEMA Mustapha Habib Ahmed on Friday 27th August 2021 met with all Zonal Coordinators, Heads of Territorial and Operations Offices. Also present at the meeting were Directors of the Agency.
Addressing Heads of ZTOs, the DG NEMA commended them for being active in the discharge of their responsibilities. However, he urged them to continue to do their best and even improve as they are the faces of NEMA and by implication the Federal Government in the area of disaster preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery.
The DG NEMA also assured to give necessary supports including staff welfare, capacity building and working tools within the limits of available resources.
Following complains of some administrative challenges in some of the ZTOs, the DG NEMA immediately directed them to submit the list of challenges faced by each of the offices for attention and consideration of the management.
The Heads of ZTOs appreciated the DG and used the opportunity to congratulate him, as some of them were meeting him physically for the first time.
