(NEMA) delivers 22,528 liters of liquid gel fertilizer approved by the Federal Government under the National Food Security Council, Emergency Agricultural Intervention (NFSC-EAI) for distribution to farmers affected by the 2018 flood and Conflicts in Taraba State

National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has delivered the balance of 22,528 liters of liquid gel fertilizer approved by the Federal Government under the National Food Security Council, Emergency Agricultural Intervention (NFSC-EAI) for distribution to farmers affected by the 2018 flood and Conflicts in Taraba State.

The Director General NEMA, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, handed over the items to Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas on Thursday in Jalingo.

The liquid gel fertilizer, she said was recommended by the Office of the National Security Adviser to replace the granular type, with one liter being equivalent to 50 kg of NPK 20-10-10 fertilizer.

The DG NEMA represented by Ag Director Finance and Accounts Alhaji Aminu Boyi Ringim, thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving conclusion of procurement process of the fertilizer and Vice President Kashim Shettima for ensuring timely distribution.

Governor Kefas expressed gratitude for the Federal Government’s support and assured that the fertilizer would be distributed efficiently in collaboration with NEMA’s Yola Operation office and the Taraba State Ministry of Agriculture.

The Taraba State Governor was represented in receiving the items by the Commissioner for Special Duties and Humanitarian Affairs Mr Saviour Noku.
