The South West Zonal Office of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), in collaboration with Oyo State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), conducted an on-the-spot assessment of a fire incident at Araromi Spare Parts Market, Ibadan North LGA, Oyo State, on 23rd December 2024.
The assessment team, led by ACSARO Uduebor Austin on behalf of the Zonal Coordinator Mr. Olanrewaju Kadiri, expressed sympathy to affected traders and assessed the extent of the damage.
The fire occurred on 20th December 2024 at around 11:00 pm, destroying a section of the market and properties worth millions of Naira.
Market President Alhaji Waheed Gbolagade appreciated NEMA’s prompt response and called for federal government support to alleviate the losses suffered by traders.
