A team of officers from NEMA Owerri Operations Office led by the Head of Operations, Mr Igwe Nnamdi were at the office of the Sector Commander FRSC in Owerri for a courtesy visit.
The Sector Commander FRSC, Mr Evariatus Ebeniro expressed his delight about the notification for the visit saying that the collaboration that exists between NEMA and FRSC needs to be taken to another level owing to the good results that have emanated from such collaboration in the past. He emphasized the need for more frequent stakeholders’ meeting in the State to enhance efficient disaster responses and management in the State.
The NEMA Head of Operations, Igwe Nnamdi appealed that the command should show more commitment to the course of changing the narratives with regards to stakeholders participation in disaster management in the State.
He said that when the stakeholders are united in one front, the State will get more involved in disaster management courses within the State.
