The Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mrs. Zubaida Umar, on Wednesday 18th June, 2025 joined key players in the economic sector at the Nigeria Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Summit 2025.
The high-profile event, organized by the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC), was held at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hotel, Abuja. It featured thematic sessions and technical discussions focused on maximizing Nigeria’s economic potential in the transport sector through PPP frameworks.
Prior to her appointment as NEMA’s Director General, Mrs. Zubaida Umar had an extensive career in the economic and financial sectors. Her leadership track record includes championing reforms in public sector finance and promoting strategic collaborations between government and private sector actors to drive national development.
Her participation at the summit underscores her interest in integrating private sector capacity into Nigeria’s disaster risk management framework.
