NEMA South-South zonal office carried out the distribution of approved relief materials for persons affected by the 2022 flood disaster in Bayelsa East Senatorial District of the State. The joint distribution exercise was led by Mr. Chidi Ogundu, a CDRRO. The Team Lead conveyed the sympathy of the Director General of the Agency Mustapha Habib Ahmed to the State and people of the Senatorial District for the loss they suffered as a result of the disaster. He appealed to them to make maximum use of the items in order to alleviate their condition. On his part, the representative of the affected person’s Hon. Ikogi Godspower thanked NEMA and the federal government for coming to assist them in time of their need. He assured that they will make good use of the items. Items distributed included food, non-food, building, and livelihood materials.
