NEMA Distributes Relief Materials to Mosque Collapse victims and others in Kaduna

Victims of Juma’at Mosque Collapse and other persons facing different untold hardship totalling about 100 beneficiaries received Federal Government relief assistance in Zaria, Kaduna.

The Director General, NEMA, Mustapha Habib in a symbolic presentation handed over the relief materials to the Emir of Zaria, Ambassador Ahmed Bamali at the Zazzau Emirate Council in presence of other government authorities.

The DG who was represented by the Zonal Coordinator, NEMA NWZ, Alhaji Abbani Garki during the event commiserated with the affected persons and their relations and urge them to use the relief materials judiciously as it’s a means to cushion their plight.

The Emir HRH Ambassador Bamali said the relief intervention is a welcome development as it’s coming at the right time people are facing difficulties to even procure feeding for themselves. Saying it will surely serve as a succour to them.

He then pleaded with the agency on behalf of his people that the relief support and intervention should be extended to others who are facing severe financial challenges at this critical time were the country is facing numerous challenges.

He further commended the agency and other facilitators as the gesture will also reduce the challenges of insecurity in the land. Adding that lack of means led to frustration by extension to other forms of crime.

He then urged capable individuals and leaders to be generous and provide support for the needy individuals who find it hard to put food on the table.

The relief items which will be give to the beneficiaries for onward direct distribution are; 100 bags each of Rice, Beans and Maize (10kg, 50 cartons of Sphagetti, 10 bags of salt (20kg), 20 kegs of vegetable oil (20 litres), 10 cartons of Seasoning, 100 pieces each of blankets, wax prints, guinea brocade, plastic buckets, cups and plates.

Others to be distributed are; 100 pieces of men, women and children’s cloths, 100 cartons of detergent, 50 cartons of toilet soap, 100 pieces each of foam mattresses, bath towels, and mosquito nets, the rest are 100 bundles of roofing sheets, 100 bags of cement and 20 packets of zinc nails.

The Executive Secretary, KADSEMA, Mallam Usman Mazadu also assured with the aid of his staff, the relief materials will definitely reach the each and every targeted beneficiary.
