Many villages in the two LGAs were attacked by the unknown Gunmen and had resulted in the displacement of several people many of which are women and children.
The assessment team learnt that some were attacked while at farms carrying out their farming activities, many were killed on the spot while some sustained major injuries.
A lot of grain Silos were also set ablaze by the bandits which consist of several food items and several shops were also set fire.
Many of the villages are not accessible as most of the people from Illela were at the township of Illela and the affected villages include; Amarawa, Tudun Gudale, Gari Mairuwa, Sonani, Kalmalo, Arabo, Darna, Gidan Katta and Illela town
While, those from Gwadabawa were at Maidoki Primary School taking shelter. More villages affected include; Tsolawo, Gigani, Tudun Doki, Tunbeji and Salame.
