Flood affected 4 communities of Tureta Local Government Area of Sokoto State. The flood pulled down walls and rooftops as well as collapsed several buildings.
The flood which occured on the 17th August, 2024 affected Gidan-yaushe, Gidan-gulbi, Tsamiya and Tureta town.
Though no cases of injury and death were recorded, the flood affected over 1000 houses and displaced thousands of people.
