NEMA and SEMA Kano Host Stakeholders’ Meeting to Strengthen Emergency Coordination and Response Preparedness

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Kano Territorial Office, in collaboration with the Kano State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), organized a one-day stakeholders’ meeting focused on enhancing synergy and ensuring effective coordination and response during emergencies. The event was held at the Kano State Tourism Board, Company Road, and brought together key actors in disaster management across Kano State.

The meeting aimed to foster stronger partnerships, align efforts, and streamline emergency response activities among stakeholders. As part of the agenda, there were presentations of insightful papers, as well as a thorough review of the implementation of the 2024 Flood Preparedness and Response Plan. Key decisions and actionable points were identified to strengthen response efforts and interventions in the event of future emergencies.
