The National Emergency management Agency (NEMA) North Central Zonal office Jos in collaboration with sector Command of Federal Road Safety North Central zone friday 15/12/2023 responded to a road traffic crash involving Dangote truck. The accident which occurred at hawan kibo Jos claimed 13 lives while 36 people sustained various degrees of injuries . Eight who sustained minor injuries were taken to the Hawan Kibo command clinic, Ten of them were taken to Anglican hospital Gidan Waya in Kaduna State while 9 in the military hospital there in Hawan Kibo and the remaining 9 in Vom christian hospital while the 13 corps where deposited in Plateau specialist hospital Jos.
The cause of the accident was traced to break failure.
The Sector Commander appreciate NEMA for always being there for the FRSC.
In response the representative of the Zonal Coordinator Nurudeen Musa (ACSARO) emphasized the need of calling the zone in time in case of any eventuality.
