Engaging in the customary practice of courtesy calls, the military and response agencies prioritize fostering familiarity, synergy, and collaboration. Against this backdrop, Mr. Igwe Nnamdi, the Acting Head of NEMA Owerri Operations Office, along with a team of operatives and the ES Abia SEMA, conducted a courtesy visit to key stakeholders in Umuahia, Abia State, on February 20, 2024. The visits to NSCDC Abia command, sector Command FRSC, and the state Fire Service aimed at identifying and familiarizing with them, with the primary goal of revitalizing existing synergy among stakeholders. Interactions focused on discussing the most effective mechanisms, strategies, and indices to enhance coordination and address challenges in emergency responses. Additionally, the visit sought to inquire about the preparedness and readiness status of these agencies.
