On the 27th of February 2024, Al-Asas Health Foundation College of Health Technology Minna inaugurated the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Club with the support of NEMA MOO.
The inauguration ceremony, led by Head DRR unit Dr. Zainab A. Ndanusa, who represented the HOO Haj Zainab S. Saidu, during her lecture emphasized the importance of disaster preparedness and the DRR Club’s role in fostering resilience and response within the school community, ensuring safety for all. Highlight of the occasion includes the display of MICU equipment and some safety first aid tips by SARO.
During the event, the pioneer officials and members of the DRR Club were introduced and made to take oath of office, symbolizing the beginning of their journey towards promoting safety and preparedness within the community.
The event saw a commendable turnout, with representatives from various key stakeholders including the Fire Service, NEMA, and the school management, demonstrating the collaborative effort towards building a safer environment.
