Head of NEMA Yola. operations office, Mr Ladan Ayuba, led a team of officers from NEMA Yola Operations on a familiarisation visit to the newly deployed director of the State Services, Adamawa State.
The team was received by the state director, Mr Olusola. O. Aguda and his management team.
The NEMA, head of Yola operation, remark that the team was in the office of the state services to strengthen existing working relationships as collaboration is key for effective and efficient disaster response.
The State Director appreciated the NEMA team for the visit and assured the team of the commitment of his agency for supporting NEMA to achieve its mandate. He further briefed the team on the general security assessment conducted by the service on the vulnerability of humanitarian agencies to attacks due to the economic stressors.
The visit was concluded with a reaffirmation of commitment to stronger collaboration between the two agencies.
