IDPs; Federal House Of Representative Committees On IDPs And Human Rights Visits Damboa Local Government Accompanied By SEMA Officials.
The visit was a fact finding mission on the relocation and general well-being of the IDPs in Damboa Local Government and to ascertain the level of destruction.
Speaking to the people of Damboa the Executive Chairman State Emergency Management Agency Engr Satomi Ahmed thanked the committee’s leadership for deeming it necessary to visit and see the level of destruction caused by the insurgency and the general well-being of the IDPs residing in the Local Government Headquarters.
Engr Satomi also stated that in the State Government’s effort in relocating the IDPs from Maiduguri to their respective liberated communities the State Emergency Management Agency had so far relocated 90% of Damboa IDPs leaving behind 450 to be relocated soon.
Similarly the delegation also inspects the ongoing construction of tents by SEMA in conjunction with ICRC and PINE.
