National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) conducted a distribution of relief items to flood-affected individuals in Ojo Federal Constituency on Saturday, December 21. The exercise took place at Community Primary and Secondary Schools in Okokomaiko, Lagos.

Honorable Seyi Sowunmi, representing Ojo Constituency, thanked the NEMA leadership, led by Mrs. Zubaida Umar, for responding promptly to a request for intervention after the flood disaster. He urged beneficiaries to remain calm and orderly during the distribution process.

Mr. Afunku Azeez, representing the Coordinator, conveyed the Director General’s condolences to the flood victims. He also warned against fire hazards during the harmattan season, advising caution in domestic and workplace settings.

Relief items were distributed ward-by-ward, with beneficiaries expressing gratitude for the government’s support. Security personnel, including police, local vigilantes, and private guards, ensured a smooth and orderly distribution process.
