Director General National Emergency Management Agency Alh Muhammed Sani Sidi arrived Maiduguri the Borno state capital on a two day working visit. Medical professionals from the state house clinic were part of the team that accompanied the DG to Maiduguri to conduct a needs assessment on the Health related issues affecting Internally Displaced persons residing in camps within Maiduguri ,Host communities and satellite camps set up by the Agency in liberated communities affected by insurgency. The Director General also met with Micheal Harvey Mission Director of United States Agency for International Development USAID at the Nema North East zonal office Maiduguri where they discussed possible areas of collaboration with the Agency on issues relating to the welfare of IDPs especially on matters of food security, Education and healthcare. Before rounding up the visit, The DG is expected to meet with The Executive Governor of borno state Alh kashim shettima after which he will proceed to visit and interact with internally Displaced persons in camps and host communities within Maiduguri metropolis. 23.3.2016.[fb_embed_post href=”https://www.facebook.com/nemanigeria/posts/1135078999857141/” width=”750″/]
