The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Enugu Operations Office in collaboration with NYSC Emergency Management Vanguards conducted awareness campaign on proper waste management and public hygiene in Ugwu Oye Market, Enugu East LGA, Enugu State.

Recall the NEMA/NYSC Emergency Management Vanguard Project is aimed at using NYSC Corps members as vanguards for a uniform proactive disaster management

During the sensitization, the joint team used public address system, inscription on cardboard sheets, sharing of flyers and One-on-one discussions to enlighten the traders/buyers on importance of maintaining proper waste management, keeping drainages clean and maintaining hygiene in canteens/shops at all times in public places.
