Following thorough assessments carried out in the affected areas, the Director General of NEMA, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, approved the deployment of relief items to alleviate the suffering of the victims.

The distribution exercise was coordinated by the Head of NEMA Operations Office in Kaduna, Mallam Suleiman Muhammad, and was represented by staff members from the Relief and Rehabilitation Unit, Aisha Yakubu and Abbas Hamisu. The team was joined by officials from the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and other relevant stakeholders.

Beneficiaries of this Federal Government intervention are residents of Funtua/Dandume and Malumfashi/Kafur Federal Constituencies.

On behalf of the Director General, the distribution team extended heartfelt sympathies to the affected communities, encouraging them to remain resilient, be patient, and continue to pray for a lasting solution to the security and disaster challenges.

The relief materials provided include both food and non-food items such as rice, maize, spaghetti, tomato paste, seasoning cubes, and other essential commodities aimed at bringing immediate relief to those impacted.

Traditional and community leaders, along with delegated government representatives present during the distribution, commended NEMA for its swift and compassionate response to the plight of the affected populations.
