Director, NorthWest Zonal Directorate, Mr. Ishaya Isah Chonoco was at the Sokoto Operations Office for a familiarization visit. While interacting with heads of units, the Director said the establishment of the zonal directorate is a good sign for the agency, noting that it will further strengthen the course of Disaster Management in the country.
Mr. Ishaya then sought the cooperation of all the staff members of the operations office in ensuring that the New Zonal Directorate has a strong foundation. He said this is important because the success of the zonal office will rub on every staff member of the agency within the zone.
While responding, Head of Operations, SOO, Aliyu Shehu Kafindangi, assured the Director of the support of the office and took the Director round the office to see the extent of the office building and equipment.
The Director while going round the office, took time to interact with the staff members and advised them to keep giving their best in the discharge of their duties.
