NEMA Gombe Operations Office GOO conducted an assessment of Communities ravaged by flood disaster in Gamawa and Zaki local government Areas of Bauchi state.
The incident occurred as a result of heavy downpour which lasted for more than twelve hours. Many houses and farmlands were submerged. Hundreds of people are displaced, Some of them are taking refuge at Gamawa central primary school while others are leaving with host communities.
Some of the affected communities are not accessible due to the nature of the terrain.
