The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Lagos Operation Office, participated in a road walk with the theme “Stride towards a healthier you” organised by the National Union of Journalists(NUJ) and News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) for its members on Monday 22nd September, 2025.
The objective of the walk was to propagate healthy living and physical fitness among its members considering the rigorous nature of their job. The event commenced with a medical check up of Blood Pressure (BP) and Sugar Level for all that were present which was conducted by medical professionals facilitated by the Lions club.
This was followed by the road walk that started from Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere to National Theatre, iganmu, Lagos.
At the end of the Walk, there was health talks on the importance of drinking enough water, have 8hours of sleep and take precautions during rainy season by not driving or wading through flooded areas.
