NEMA AND KOGI STATE SEMA HOLDS ONE- DAY HUMANITARIAN CO-ORDINATION MEETING AT LOKOJA KOGI STATE.

Following the recent incident of communal crisis at Dekina and Omala Local Government Areas of the State. The Director General Alhaji Ahmed Habib Mustapha who was represented by Head AOO, Mr Justin Uwazuruonye at the meeting in Lokoja advised stakeholders to work together in order to bring the needed assistance to the people affected by the crisis in some communities of the two Local Government Areas in Dekina and Omala LGAs . He stressed on the need for stakeholders in the State to play their roles diligently because no single agent of Government or person will successfully carry out humanitarian aid alone. During the meeting, stakeholders also had deliberations on 2023 Seasonal Climate Prediction of which adaptation measures were suggested and these include: heeding to early warning signs and forecasts by NIMET and other Relevant authorities. All the LGAs in state were urged to carry out out sensitization/awareness campaign locally as their people will listen to them more.
