Following the unfortunate attacks in DABINA, ZAH and surrounding communities on the 13th April,2024 in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State, NEMA Yola Operations office in collaboration with Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency ADSEMA were deployed to conduct an on the spot assessment of the situation to ascertain the level of damage and recommend for possible intervention to families of those that lost their lives, injured persons and people that have been displaced by the incidents.
The assessment team led by MUSA YAKUBU SSARO accompanied by the District Head of Garaha, Secretary Hong LGA Mr Muazu Sani and securities visited some of the affected communities in the Local Government Area, where the entire community and surrounding villages has been sacked by the suspected Boko haram terrorists causing mass displacement, while some sustaining degree gunshots injuries and looting of food items. Two deaths were recorded, and 2340 persons were displaced.
