NEMA, Sokoto Operations Office Operations Emergency Response Team responded to series of emergencies today during the Eid’el Fitr celebration in Sokoto State. The team which comprised of 2 sub teams handled different emergency cases that ranged from mild accidents to responding to cases of collapsed persons.
Two people were injured in the accident which happened between motorcycles and tricycle. On the other hand, two persons collapsed at different times, one was a boy that is about 14 years old and a woman of adult age.
The teams intervened with first aid treatment to resuscitate the collapsed persons and there after rushed them to the hospital for proper handling.
Operations standby still continues in order to respond to any emergency call for ambulance service in the Eid’el Fitr season.
