NEMA PARTNERS NATIONAL ORIENTATION AGENCY (NOA) IN PUBLIC EDUCATION AND CITIZENS’ MOBILIZATION TOWARDS 2023 FLOOD PREDICTION.


NEMA South South today was part of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) Facebook Dialogue aimed at educating and mobilizing citizens towards the 2023 flood prediction. The programme which is streamed live on Fridays is aimed at public enlightenment towards government programmes. The theme of today’s dialogue was “Climate Change and Flood Alert: Stakeholders preparedness and management. The event which was at the instance of the State Coordinator of NOA in Rivers State Barr. Young Ayotamuno had guest from NEMA represented by the Zonal Coordinator Godwin Tepikor; Chairman, Nigerian Red Cross Port Harcourt Division Instructor Benard Edobor and a Career Guidance & Counselling Diplomat, Liberia Hon. Amb. Ernest T. Rowland -Douglas as the guest discussants. Several areas in respect of the 2023 flood preparedness and mitigation were discussed, with questions from callers responded to to throw more light and understanding of the prediction.
