Cameroon deports more than 18,000 Nigerian Refugees

Cameroon has deported more than 18,000 people who had sought refuge from Boko Haram Islamist militants since August, according to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Nigeria .

Some of those who had returned to Adamawa state in north-eastern Nigeria told BBC Hausa reporter Ishaq Khalid that they were beaten, had their belongings confiscated and also suffered arbitrary arrests and detentions during their time in Cameroon.
