A team from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Kano Territorial Office (KTO) conducted an assessment following a petrol tanker explosion at a filling station in Jigawa State last night. The incident occurred while the tanker was offloading fuel into the station’s reservoir.
Swift intervention by firefighters from state and federal services, along with Dutse Airport Fire Service, successfully contained the blaze, preventing further escalation. No casualties have been recorded.
