NEMA Yola OPERATIONS OFFICE JOINS FLOOD PREPAREDNESS MEETING IN ADAMAWA STATE

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Yola Operations Office, participated in a one day flood preparedness and response meeting organized by the Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA) with support from UNICEF.

The meeting brought together local government chairmen and traditional rulers from seven flood prone LGAs to strengthen coordination, early warning, and community level response to anticipated flooding.
Representing the Head of Operations, Mr. Yusuf Ibbi Attah (AC, SARO) reaffirmed NEMA’s commitment to supporting state and community structures in mitigating flood risks through early warning systems, sensitization, evacuation planning, and collaboration.

Stakeholders commended ADSEMA and UNICEF for convening the meeting, pledging stronger partnerships to safeguard lives and property during the rainy season.
