Officials of NEMA Kano Territorial Office, in conjunction with the Nigerian Red Cross Society, paid a courtesy call to Kano Urban Planning Development Authority (KNUPDA) on 18th of July, 2023. The visit focused on the discussion on issues that have to do with the ongoing demolition exercise in the state.
It was on record that the aftermath of the demolitions were not without incidences that warranted emergency search and rescue operation. It was on this purview that the two response agencies advised KNUPDA on a way forward to reduce the level of casualties.
