REPORT ON DISTRIBUTION OF RELIEF MATERIALS TO PERSONS/COMMUNITIES AFFECTED BY BANDITRY ATTACKS IN MAGAMA/RIJAU FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY, NIGER STATE

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Minna Operations Office, in collaboration with Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA), carried out the distribution of relief materials to persons and communities recently affected by banditry attacks in Rijau and Magama LGAs of Niger State.

The distribution exercise was held on Saturday, 23rd August 2025, at the Palace of Sarkin Bauchi Rijau (District Head of Rijau). The exercise was led by Mr. Usman Abdulaziz (ACR&RO), who represented the Head of Operations, Mr. Hussaini Isah, in the presence of Hon. Shehu Saleh Rijau, Member representing Rijau/Magama Federal Constituency, Dr. Bello Tukur, Hon. Commissioner of Health, Niger State, and Hon. Tsalha Muhammad, Special Adviser to the Governor on Environmental Sanitation. Also in attendance were traditional leaders including the Sarkin Bauchi Rijau, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi, and the District Head of Dukku town, Alhaji Attahiru Garba. The exercise, which was peaceful and well-coordinated, was later extended to Magama LGA.

Relief Materials Distributed: Rice 25kg, Beans 25kg, Maize 25kg, Spaghetti, Seasoning Cubes, Vegetable Oil, Iodized Salt, Tomato Paste.
The District Head of Rijau, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi, expressed appreciation to NEMA and the Federal Government for the timely intervention and continuous support of affected persons in times of distress.

The distribution was conducted peaceful and successful.
