Working visit to Adamawa state marine police command

NEMA WORKING VISIT TO NIGERIAN MARINE POLICE, ADAMAWA STATE

The Head of NEMA Yola Operations Office, Mr. Ladan Ayuba conducted an official working visit to the Nigerian Marine Police unit at Bakin Kogi. The visit was to assess the current river levels and to acknowledge the efforts of the Marine Police officers who provide NEMA with updates on the water level.

During the visit, the Marine Police officers reported that the river water level is currently at an alert level. They anticipated that it might escalate to a warning level imminently, based on their monitoring and predictions. This potential rise is attributed to the inflow of water from the Katanga River in Cameroon.

The visit underscored the importance of continuous monitoring and collaboration between NEMA and the Marine Police to ensure an effective response to any potential emergencies.
