NEMA ATTENDS 2-DAY CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP ON DISASTER RISK REDUCTION FOR STAKEHOLDERS IN ADAMAWA STATE

National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Yola Operations Office participated in a two day capacity building workshop on disaster risk reduction (DRR) for stakeholders in Adamawa State.

Organized by the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) in collaboration with the Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA), the workshop aimed to enhance the capacities of stakeholders to integrate disaster risk reduction into their activity plans, thus mitigating the impacts of disasters.

The workshop featured presentations from various agencies covering topics relevant to disaster management. Notably, the head of the Yola Operations Office, represented by Mr. Yusuf Ibbi PSARO, delivered a paper on disaster management and governance structures, contributing valuable insights to the discussions.

NEMA remains committed to collaborating with stakeholders and enhancing disaster preparedness and response efforts in Adamawa State.
