A team of NEMA, Sokoto Operationd Office continued the assessment of persons affected by Armed Banditry in Kebbi State. The team visited 3 more Local Government Areas of Kebbi State affected by the menace of Armed Banditry. They include, Ingaski, Shanga, Yauri LGAs, all of Yauri Emirate.
The team observed the huge humanitarian situation in these areas where thousands of people are displaced from their communities/villages and taking refuge in public buildings and some with the host communities.
Some of the affected persons reported their livestock and food carted away and their husbands killed. They also reported that some women and children were abducted for ransom.
