NEMA RESPONDS TO PETROL TANKER FIRE EXPLOSION

The National Emergency Management Agency ( NEMA) Gombe Operations Office responded to Petrol Tanker fire disaster which started around 9:10pm 27th November 2024 within the premises of A.Y.M SHAFA filling station, Liji Area along Biu road in Gombe. On getting the information about the disaster,the lead Agencies and other relevant stakeholders were immediately mobilised by NEMA for quick response. However, the tanker driver was able to move the tanker out of the the filling station immediately. The combine efforts of Federal and State Fire Services saved the situation by putting off the fire completely around 10:55pm. No life was lost, part of the filling station was affected and the tanker was completely burnt down. Stakeholders on ground includes :-Federal Fire Service, State Fire Service and Nigerian Police Force.
