NEMA Delivers relief to affected Traders at Ogbogonogo Market Asaba

The HM @sadiya.farouq of @fmhds_ng flagged off distribution of relief supports delivered to Delta State by NEMA for distribution to affected traders of the recent fire incident at Ogbogonogo Market, Asaba. @officialdgnema @iaokowa

The HM @sadiya.farouq and @officialdgnema with the @festuskeyamo70 HM of State for Labour and Employment, also delivered the sympathy of Mr President to Gov @iaokowa and the affected persons. They also visited the burnt market and interacted with the traders.

The items delivered include: 120 sewing machines
100 hair dryers
80 grinding machines
625 bags of rice
625 bags of maize, 625 bags of beans
31 bags of salt
63 kegs of vegetable oil.
Others were:
85 cartons of Tin tomatoes 56 cartons of seasoning 1,875 bags of cement
300 bundles of roofing sheets
300 packs of zinc nails
625 bags of 3 inches nails and 750 pieces of ceiling boards.

Relief Delivery to Muna IDP’s Camp Fire Victims

Further to delivery of relief items to the Muna Garage IDPs camp that was gutted by fire in Borno State, The Hon Minister Sadiya Farouq @sadiya.farouq of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs & Social Development @fmhds_ng and AVM Muhammadu A Muhammed (rtd) @officialdgnema yesterday visited Borno State to commiserate with the State Governor, Professor Zulum, @gov_borno and the Internally Displaced Person as the Minister flagged off the relief distribution.

National NEMA Commences Distribution of Relief Materials to Fire Victims at Muna IDPs Camp

#NemaNigeria has commenced distribution of relief supports to victims of the fire🔥 incident at Muna Garage IDPs camp in Borno State.

So far, food items have been given to them.
Non food items, also approved, soon to be distributed too in line with concerns of His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari.

The Honorable Minister @sadiya.farouq @fmhds_ng had earlier in a message commiserated with the victims and assured them of the Federal Government’s supports.
The fire incident which occurred on Saturday night had destroyed the Internally Displaced  shelters, food and household items.

NEMA Responds to Fire Incident at Muna IDP’s Camp in Borno State

@nemanigeria has responded to the fire incident at Muna Albadawy Internally Displaced Persons Camp in Borno State.

The fire occurred late Saturday 23/5/2020 and caused a death, destroyed shelters, properties and the 2 sources of water serving the 9678 IDPs (1613 households). Northeast zonal office of @nemanigeria has deployed a water tanker to the camp for temporary water supplies and conducted rapid assessment to provide immediate relief of food, non- food items and other supports together with Borno SEMA and other partners. @sadiya.farouq @fmhds_ng @officialdgnema

DG NEMA Approves 2 Months Ration for Food Distribution

The Director General of NEMA has approved distribution of the food items for 2 months feeding of the Internally Displaced Persons by doubling the regular monthly ration.
Each household received a bag of 50kg rice, bag of 25kg beans, bag of 12.5kg soya beans and assorted condiments. A total of 656 bags of 50kg rice, 656 bags of 25kg beans, 656 bags of 12.5kg soya beans and assorted condiments were distributed to the 656 households of IDPs in the 3 camps in Adamawa State.

1,800 Internally Displaced households received a total of 98,280kg food Items in Borno State

About 1,800 households of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Mainok liberated community yesterday day received a total of 98,280kg food items in the monthly food distribution by the National Emergency Management Agency in Borno State. Each household got 12.5kg rice, 12.5kg maize, 25kg beans and 4.5kg assorted condiments.
The distribution is in line with the commitment of the President, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR to support the IDPs as entrusted to the Honourable Minister, Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq.
The DG NEMA AVM Muhammadu Muhammed (rtd) said the monthly rations are based on standard international quantity for a family of six but where the family members are more, additions are being made accordingly.
